Today, Netflix announced July 9, 2021 as the premiere date for the highly-anticipated Season Three of Virgin River, the popular series based on #1 New York Times bestselling author Robyn Carr’s book series by the same name.

Carr’s beloved Virgin River series has sold more than 13 million copies worldwide and has been published in 19 languages. In July and August, MIRA will publish tie-in editions featuring art from the Netflix series for the first three books in Carr’s series, including Virgin River, Shelter Mountain, and Whispering Rock. A tie-in edition of A Virgin River Christmas will be published in October.

The returning cast includes Alexandra Breckenridge (This Is Us, The Walking Dead) as Mel, Martin Henderson (Grey’s Anatomy, Miracles From Heaven) as Jack, Tim Matheson (The Affair, The Good Fight) as Doc and Annette O’Toole (Smallville, Marvel’s The Punisher) as Hope, as well as those that fans have grown to love  in previous seasons. Joining Season 3 is Marco Grazzini as Jack’s friend, and Zibby Allen as Jack’s sister. Sue Tenney (Cedar Cove, 7th Heaven) is the showrunner. Jocelyn Freid, Roma Roth, Christopher E. Perry, and Robyn Carr are executive producers.

Season Two ended on a major cliffhanger and Season Three will have even more drama and romance. The series follows Melinda “Mel” Monroe (Breckenridge) as a spunky nurse practitioner who came to the remote California town of Virgin River for a fresh start and found much more than she was expecting.
